HAndy to the city, our home had great city views. Noisy as most inner suburbs are. Greenslopes is great for families. We relocated from Victoria over 18 years ago and have never looked back. We had a great selection of schools, both private and public. All schools in the area offer quality education.

There are many sporting clubs in and around the area. The public transport is great, especially great when you have teenage children. Even though we are very close to the city, traffic noise in our area is very minimal. To drive into the city during non peak hour take about 7 minutes, a bit longer during peak time.

But altogether, traffic congestion in and around the area is not too bad at all. Greenslopes shopping mall offers an array of different retailer, with a coles supermarket, butcher and fruit shop. The best thing about the shopping mall is that parking is easy and convenient. Both these hospitals offer excellent medical care.

There is a diversity of housing styles from the traditional Queenslander to large contemporary homes. Overall, we love living in Greenslopes because of the convenient location and would highly recommend it as a great place to reside. Great suburb close to the city and transport links.

Also very easy acces to pacific highway for accessing the Gold Coast and also the Clem 7 for accessing the Northside and Sunshine Coast. Walking distance to Stones Corner and Greenslopes shopping centre with easy access to numerous buses to and from the city.

Many character homes and a good prvate hospital. All this in a small suburb close to the city - what more could you want! Greenslopes is a fantastic suburb on Brisbane's southside. Its close proximity to the freeway means that getting anywere is a breeze - however, depending on where in Greenslopes you live and where you need to get to, you may experience some congestion around peak hour I have never had a problem with this though.

The public transport options are excellent and for the energetic, a bikeway which gets you into the city within 25 minutes. The best things about Greenslopes: easy access to city whether by bus busway in particular or car; easy access to both south and north coasts, now that the Inner City Bypass is available.

Most streets are quiet, although traffic on Ridge Street is getting heavier. Although there is an increasing amount of in-fill developmenet occuring, most of it is sensitive to the area.

Could do without townhouses being built at the back of existing Queenslanders though. Also easy access to major shopping area, the hospital of course and bikeways. Things that Greenslopes could improve: a wider variety of decent cafes and restaurants. We have the Stones Corner precinct which has no restaurants at all apart from basic sushi and Thai.

This area is a natural for setting up a group of restaurants in the Martha Street, Camp Hill mode. Get to it - prospective restauranteurs! Greenslopes is largely situated on a hill approximately 4 km south of Brisbane City. It contains a mixture of upper end residential dwellings on the ridgeline and lower end units in the lower parts.

Housing styles range from traditional Queenslanders to modern mansions. There is great potential to pick up sq blocks for the building of new homes subject to DCP. Greenslopes is dominated by the presence of the Greenslopes Hospital, the best private hospital in Queensland which makes it popular with doctors nurses and other health professionals. Greenslopes is awaiting the urban renewal trend that is affecting Camp Hill and Coorparoo and is still undervalued. Greenslopes has the Busway running through it which gives a 10 minute ride into the city.

Some area around the hospital have parking problems, but no more than other similar areas. Have lived in the area for while and think its a nice place to live. Is a quick taxi ride home from City after a night out. What an amazing place to live! As an agent specializing in suburb for a number of years I regularly receive very positive comments from residents living in the suburb and purchasers that have just moved to the area.

Just km south of the city with easy access to the south east freeway and excellent public transport Greenslopes is the perfect place to live. Enjoy north facing city views and breezes from the elevated streets. Contemporary homes combine with traditional queenslanders that are filled with character and charm. A smaller suburb that is tightly held by the residents living there.

The suburb is home to the largest private hospital in Australia with many of the countries leading doctors, nurses and medical staff calling Greenslopes home. There is no shortage of hospital staff, so finding a tenant for investment properties is never hard.

Housing followed, including war service homes on the Dunellan Estate. By the outbreak of World War II most of Greenslopes' residential areas were built on, although there was a 30 acre site at the foot of Mt Stephens that was unused.

During the s a scattering of shops and tradespeople opened along Logan Road, and by the late s their number had doubled.

Schools were confined to the State primary, but there were Catholic schools in neighbouring Coorparoo. The unused site near Mt Stephens was chosen in for a military base hospital. Specialist hospital architects, the Melbourne firm of Stephenson and Turner, were commissioned, and construction and fitting out of two blocks was completed by
